  - Eggs Galore

JASON has a great special on free range eggs at the moment - usually $3.00 for 6, now only $2.50. Usually $6 per dozen, now only $5 and a whole tray is $12.50.
 Just back again - JASON also has duck eggs - quantities are limited so you'll need to be here early on Saturday morning. I was lucky last week and bought the last 6. We really like poached duck eggs particularly served on top of MULLEEZ smoked salmon and then all topped with a teaspoon full of freshly made aioli and one of lumpfish caviar - a great brunch!! The duck eggs are a little richer than hen eggs. The shells are much harder so it can be a bit difficult to crack them open.

Deidre of WILD GAME sells giant fresh range eggs - she aptly calls them - Ouh-Aah-Aah Eggs.

Egg Fact - courtesy of Fremont Farms... Eggs age more in one day at room temperature than they do in a week if refrigerated.

- Smoked Eel - you can probably tell we're trying a lot of smoked fish at the moment. MULLEEZ smoked eel is so delicious. The pieces are moist and succulent - great on wholemeal toast or try on our La Cigale bagels instead of the usual smoked salmon on bagel.
