While we're still having beautiful weather with warm evenings, barbecueing is a must in our household. I'm always looking for easy and different thing to cook on the BBQ other than the usual sausages etc. One of our old favourites comes from Madhur Jaffrey's Indian cooking book - I've had the book since the late seventies and it's still my reference for delicious Indian food. You can make this spicy or not to your taste. BARBEQUED SALMON (serves 6) 6 salmon steaks, pieces cut from a fillet or a whole fillet 1/2 cup olive oil Blend 2 tbsps of the olive oil, lemon juice, onion, garlic, ginger, chilies or cayenne, salt, turmeric and pepper.
